Stress, depression, grief, anxiety and the traumas we’ve experienced often leave us living in the past or worrying about the future leading us to be disconnected from ourselves, others, and the moments of our life. Contemplative approaches allow us to live in the present moment and cultivate a renewed sense of connection to ourselves, others and to life.

My approach integrates traditional Western Psychology and its approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Eastern Psychology and its contemplative approaches.

Contemplative Psychotherapy is a radical and positive approach to psychology and to human life. It offers a more positive, spiritual and visionary approach to mental health as it is based upon the refined analysis of human consciousness. The basic aim is to help us become compassionately aware of our mental, emotional and behavioral patterns in order to skillfully work with them so that we may heal, be more present for our life and live more fully from our deepest values, inherent goodness, compassion and wisdom. It includes practices such as mindfulness, meditation, connecting and working with the body through somatic techniques (mind/body techniques). Which include the use of HeartMath techniques and technology and Brainspotting. These meditative practices, cognitive and emotional trainings support mindful compassionate attention to your inner and outer life.

I take a holistic approach to my clients health and wellbeing so in addition to Contemplative Psychotherapy I utilize Energy Psychology and discuss lifestyle changes to support my clients meeting their wellness goals.
